A short documentary for you to enjoy. Featuring Sam Temblett, Chantal Batchelor & Chris Joslin.
I’m so tired,
quit talking so I can
close my eyes and see
an orchard on the membrane,
passionate fruits of the mind.
Hats off to exotic dancers,
a neutered franchise that
bleeds ink and stains bed sheets
with a memory;
Baby,
promise me you’ll never forget.
Baby,
I’m glad you can’t see me now,
wiping the crust from junkie eyes
and watching the sun rise
like a dictator.
Stupid, stupid sunrise,
I swear you’ll be the death of me –
isn’t it enough
to bring sobriety to a desperate man?
Now you mean to tease me
with the promise of a new dawn,
tomorrow today but never now
because we live six seconds at a time,
sketches in a picture book
that no-one ever opens.

harsh mesh messed hard hair
have seen bad dreams
in hat red red hat
black star parked car on
driven drove of white
light quite bright white light
second sight white light
third reich almost not quite
black cherry two long loose lines
more alive than large cards
crowbars barred crows he crowed
to the bar, to the bar, too far
blue billiards’ battered balls
chalked choked checked
churched change to old hobo
